some good links today! Check out The Skinny Daily, it’s a site about health and weight related topics and today’s entry has some knitting content! Fiber is so good for you!
and to keep our hands busy busy – idle hands are the Devil’s work afterall – the winter issue of Knitty is up and is a certain crowd pleaser. It just keeps getting better and better and makes me wonder why I pay for any subscriptions at all!
My weekend consisted of getting the house all ready for the holidays – lights are hung, tree is blinged out, garlands are draped and I even got the cards in the mail! I must confess that I am one of those obnoxious people who usually have all their gifts bought and wrapped by now …. but not this year! I feel the panic setting in …. Did anyone else see that gingerbread house cake in the latest Martha Stewart mag?? I am thinking of giving it a try. Unlike most prudent bakers, I do not test things out ahead of time, so if I do put it on the holiday menu, I will be baking by the seat of my pants! Being contrary by nature, I also always like to try new things for the holiday menus. I suppose if the grinch comes along to blow my house down, I could crumb the whole thing up, slap some whipped cream on it and call it a trifle ….
Loved “The Skinny Daily” link! And Knitty… there are some cute things there!
When you have a chance, would you go look at the sewing machine pic I posted today and tell me how it compares to any of yours?
Well, the new issue of Knitty has convinced me that I need to knit myself a womb. Perhaps it will be good for this infernal peri-menopause thing.
Y’all missed your chance to knit me a womb as I recovered from my hysterectomy. In my case, you could’ve added a few bobbles in honor of my one-time battle with fibroids, and done it in two lurid shades to symbolize the final victory of my adenomyosis.
Truthfully, I don’t miss it…
