Poe has danglers.
If you have never owned a pet, or are blessed with a perfectly oiled digestive tract, please refer to the definition above. The rest of us know what I’m talkin’ about. Danglers – who hasn’t suffered the frustration of those??!!
Danglers require patience. Given time, a case of the danglers will resolve itself. Perhaps Newton wasn’t really sitting under an apple tree – perhaps he was stuck on the bowl!
Puppies are not known for their patience. Poe is no exception. He tries to run away from his danglers.
This is not an effective technique.
He has also tried skooching his fanny along on the ground.
This is a particularly messy remedy.
Why am I writing about this? Isn’t this a knitting blog?? Are you thinking about dropping me from your Bloglines account — have I gone too far, said too much?
And why would such a young puppy have a case of the danglers?
Because he is eating all my roving!
My family had a great, collective laugh when I told them about your post and Poe’s danglers. Those who walk our dog most often were the quickest to catch on, but Katie was the only one to know what roving was (having herself knit a pair of thrummed mitts). Any preferences in Poe’s roving choices? Mickey likes yarn, but so far has gone only for that which has acrylic content — no four-legged snobs ’round here! Thanks for the laugh.
Dahlink, it may be cute, but it is dangerous, as is allowing your Poo, er, Poe to get the impression that playing with/ingesting yarn is ok. This can cause serious intestinal blockage that can lead to surgery and/or the early demise of our beloved Mr. Edgrrrr.
Please scold him loudly and keep him away from your knitting and spinning supplies so he is around for a long time!
hahaha a diet high in fiber!
Oh, your post brought back memories! My pup used to enjoy eating my hair. I have long hair – past my shoulders. She used latch onto it, if I let her, or else she would find it attached to items in the house. Fortunately, she outgrew this fascination. Hair and tissues. The tissue appeal ended when she leapt at one in my hand – as I was bringing it my nose. I shrieked, she freaked and she has never went for a tissue again.
I read this on the 22nd and thought oh I’m so glad Nestle hasn’t had a dangler in a long time. And wouldn’t you know it. Thinking about not having one would of course mean that it would HAVE to happen. And sure enough, as I’m trying to bake cookies and pie and all sorts of yummies Nestle has not one but TWO danglers in one night. TWO!!
