chevron baby cardigan and hat

It is not all about the bacon around here.  There has been some knitting going on!  This is a baby set I made for a friend’s baby shower.  She doesn’t know if she is having a girl or boy and I thought that this pattern and yarn were gender neutral.

pattern:  Chevron Baby Cardigan & Hat from the Nashua Bloom book.

yarn:  Cascade 220 superwash

The booties are a pattern I found on Ravelry.  It is the Magic Slipper pattern and I followed TinkerTots directions for some design mods.

  1. Oh how cute! I have plenty of baby stuff to knit this winter so I’ll keep an eye out for that booklet. I especially love the booties.

P.S. Will wants me to get him a shirt that says “My Woman loves yarn more that she loves me!” to wear at Rhinebeck. Shall we order one for Mr Boar also?

  2. Oh I love this set! The hat is adorable ! I just found out I am going to be a granma in April so been looking for patterns. Have to add this to my list! I was not sure about which yarn to use. Is Cascade your favorite and can you suggest others?

  3. Hahahahaha, that last comment made me laugh out loud. I saw this the other day and must have forgotten to comment! Cute set — I’m a little bit enchanted by those booties.
