P6140111It’s Banff. This picture was taken before I had to rip back 52 rows. ergh. Seems I had a bit of a problem with the following: p2tog tbl. Although attempting to p2tog tbl, it would appear on occasion I simply ptbl. Needless to say, my numbers were off – so back I went. It is all fine now, I have finished the back and am working on the front ribbing. It is nice to be working on something for moi for a change!

Daughter #2 graduates from middle school this evening. There will be a general hoopla around here. I must say that the years between 6th and 8th grade have really flown by. Daughter #1 is taking her last exam this morning – chemistry Regents. ugh! I am so glad to have grown up in PA where they don’t have a regent’s system – too much pressure!

Perfectly hatched

Do you remember my entry from last week – the one about my friend who wants me to knit a hat for her to give as a gift and then pawn off as her own work? The friend who, through her lies and scheming , will end up learning how to knit?? If not, please refresh your memory and scroll back to June 14th. I’ll wait …….

Well, my plan is working!! Just this morning I was speaking with her and she told me she has been practising her knitting! Wants to know what size needles she will need to do the pumpkin hat. We even discussed the merits of row counters! She still wants me to deliver the Berry Hat, but would like to take on the pumpkin herself! Go Team!!!

Since December, coincidentally when I started my blog, I have indoctrinated, caught, taught 3 knitters and there is another one or two on the horizon! One of the future disciples is my daughter’s friend who wants me to post her picture on my site. I told her there is only One Way to the Blog – she must learn how to knit!

Is it the blog, is it me, is it a fad? Who can know such things? And are these questions even worth pondering? Does it matter if the means to the end is lies and half truths? Isn’t the important thing the knitting?
