Mirror Mirror On The Wall….. Thanks to Gidget for this! Please note that, with brutal honesty, I selected wrinkles to add!
uncategorized,
What a great weekend we had! The weather has been magnificent – I can’t remember the last time we had such gorgeous days on the weekend no less.
On Saturday we had an impromptu little dinner party. I must say that I was quite pleased (read some Martha-like smugness here) to be able to throw it together with just an hour’s notice. My biggest fan (see yesterday’s post) wondered if weekend partying had gotten in the way of blogging. There was indeed partying, but I do not believe it led to the downfall of the blog. The Boar whipped up some terrific martinis and then lit a fire in our outdoor fire-pit/grill thingamagig. Cheese & crackers to start, shrimp, chicken and salad for the main course and fresh melon for dessert – all the while, delicately sipping our cocktails. What is it about a fire that changes everything? We were like sophisticated cave people, poking at the fire and stirring our drinks.
As you know, Sunday was Father’s Day – it was also my brother’s birthday! Had a lovely little birthday salutations chit-chat with him – he’s a good big brother. We were reminiscing about a certain bike he used to have. It was tangerine orange with a banana seat, spider handle bars and it was a three-speed, sporting a stick shift right on the center bar! We all thought it was the height of cool. And by association. he was the height of cool!
Boar enjoyed a big Father’s Day breakfast and a day spent lounging around. It has been much too long since we did something like that. Sunning, reading, swimming napping — all the best -ing words! I even did some knitting.

Have I let you down? I realize that I failed to post with my usual daily regularity. I tried! I just couldn’t come up with anything good. Look what one of my biggest fans emailed:
HAS THE PURLING SWINE GONE?
OH WHERE, OH WHERE
CAN SHE BE?
WAS THE PARTYING THIS WEEKEND

OH WHERE, OH WHERE
CAN SHE BE?
I will try not to let it happen again!
