I did not get into the city to see The Gates.  I wanted to but had too much happening to find the time.  I have been following all the different discussions regarding the nature of art and whether or not this was art.   

This just made me smile — I may even buy some of the merchandise!

P2240064 P2240066 I have been sitting here for too, too long thinking about all the different ways I could write an entry about our vacation.  Nothing is working for me – and now I am getting cranky!  So here is a list of vacation highlights:

  • it was a family vacation and we were treated to it by my wonderful mother-in-law
  • at the last minute there was a malaria scare and my sister-in-law decided not to go
  • we missed her and her family, but had fun anyway
  • I hope we don’t get malaria
  • Boar and daughters went horse back riding
  • Boar and Daughter #2 went scuba diving
  • MiL and I went kayaking – twice!
  • Daughters #1 and #2 went para-sailing
  • we all went banana-boating
  • I did quite a bit of knitting – 2 pairs of socks started and completed and another Clapotis started and am past the increase rows!
  • I drank too much
  • I was most impressed with the softness of the sand and the color of the ocean
  • I am glad to have gone and I am glad to be home!
