check out these pictures – they really do look like their dogs! Am I in trouble, or what?
uncategorized,
can I still wear the glasses?
thanks to Beancounter, who by the way is nerdier than me!
heads up!
If you come to my house, please look up. Look Up!!
The kitchen ceiling is done – what a lot of back breaking work went into it and the sad fact of the matter is that no one ever notices a ceiling. Unless it needs to be painted or unless it has a fresco or something. So I have a beautiful, clean and white kitchen ceiling! Tomorrow we start on the walls. I hope that the painting aspect of this job is done by Sunday – I have some wood staining to do and then will need to move everything back into the kitchen.
Knitting? what knitting?
dusty!
if you go to this page on Benjamin Moore’s website, you will see the color I am painting my walls. It is called Concord Ivory and is a very soft yellow. It is in the section called split complement.
I am in the grip of kitchen painting. It feels like the whole house is upside down now that the kitchen is in upheaval. There has been a great deal of spackling and sanding (the dust! it’s making me grumpy). More of the same on tap for today, but the good news is that I should also be getting to start the primer coat on the ceiling. The bad news is that the ceiling – which is elevated and hard to reach – is going to need a primer coat as well as two coats of paint! However, Angie is coming over to help. In fact, Angie is a master painter and I end up being the help person as she takes over the job.
tip for the day: It is often a very good thing to let one’s mother-in-law take over.
a small bit of knitting news: I frigged up on the bottom border row of my poncho – specifically working the two increase rows while maintaining a K2P2 pattern. Shall I rip the whole row, or do I just get out a crochet hook and change things around as I go?
