I thought if I took this project out and posted some pictures it would force me into some knitting action. It is on the verge of becoming a/an UFO (unfinished object). This is an Aran Jacket that I ordered through Herrschners awhile ago. It will have a wide, shawl collar and deep front pockets. The back is finished and the smaller photo is the right front. It has been in production since May.
Question for all you knitters/crafters out there: How do you divide your work between multiple projects? Do you just work on one item until it is finished, or do you split your time between different things?
Here is a list of things needing my attention:
bucket-o-chic for me bucket-o-chic for cousin mittens for sil aran coat for me ciderhouse rules vest for my boar
any thoughts on how to divide the time?
Hi there –
I just noticed recently that I tend to have three projects going at once – one for me, one for someone dear to me, and one to donate to a worthy charity. I trade off working on each, but when I’m close to finishing one or have a burst of enthusiasm for one, I can devote a couple of days at a time. I also try to make sure that the projects are in different gauges and with different-sized needles because I think it helps me avoid repetitive stress. Works for me!
I just posted a “motivational photo” on my blog of a UFO, and voila, it was done within a week! There’s nothing like making yourself accountable! Good luck on the glorious sweater – it will be just gorgeous when it’s done (and it looks pretty good right now!) –
