  1. hey ann Happy Birthday. Why you posting about Captain Kangaroo dying on such a happy day as this your birthday. I thought he died a long time ago for some reason. He already seemed so old back then.Have a great day my love. bye

  2. I watched Captain Noah more than I watched Captain Kangaroo. Think Captain Noah was only know in the Delaware Valley. My mom even took Scott and I to a Capt. Noah meet and greet at the Woolworth’s located at the King of Prussia Plaza YEARS AGO!!! Back when that section of the Plaza was actually an open air plaza. What ever happened to Captain Noah??? Man are we OLD OR WHAT???

  3. We didn’t have Captain Noah around here. But I do remember that song…”I can sing a rainbow”. It was the gayest song then. I can’t beleive that the word “Gay” has been in my vocabulary for so long!! we had to sing it in Chorus in 4th or 5th grade. Not a big hit then!! Did you have fun on your Birthday? You looked great!

  4. Capt. Noah was a children’s show that aired in the Philadelphia area — he used to have a slide that went from the upper level of his boat to the lower one and at the beginning of the show he would come sliding down on it.

  5. i was looking for captain noah stuff online tonight… as soon as i saw “send you pictures to dear old captain noah…” i started singing it and i can’t get it out of my head.

i loved mrs and captain noah!

apparently his set has become part of the entrance to the hands on museum at penn’s landing… that would rock going to see that…

    man… i feel old now.

  6. I don’t know if the same people that posted here still visit this site; but I have to say it was refreshing and nostalgic to read comments about Captain Noah; I can’t find many people that know about him, unless they’re from Philly… and, err… in my age group.

    Thanks, y’all! :P
