the saga continues ….

If you counted up the amount of stitches I have knit over the past two weeks (excluding this past weekend) I think you would have enough to make 8 mittens. Why then, do I have 1&#189? For a full and detailed report of mitten misadventures, please refer to the post of January 21st. So what more could happen? This is a legitimate question.

Today, as promised, I stayed away from the computer and got down to knitting business. I was in the middle of the second mitten at the point where the thumb gore is on a holder and I am cruising my way toward the decreases at the top. It occurs to me that I failed to read the K3 rows even part when I did mitten #1. oy vay! And it also occurs to me that in increasing to make the thumb gore I should have used a bar increase rather than the row below increase – those tiny little increase holes were starting to bug me. I don’t know when it happened, but it seems I have become quite the perfectionist So you can see how it happened that I ripped both of those mittens back and reknit them. One is completed and the other is &#189 done.

I wonder if I could get booted from the Fiber Arts & Knitting Bloggers Webring for crap like this ….

  1. there must be some self conscienous block on these poor sad mittens. i have seen you whip mittens out in a flash and these poor little mittens have caused quite a stir. i feel like tom kitten wanting mittens – or something like that. i best not lose these mittens.maybe we should add the yarn that goes from one mitten to the other around the neck to be sure. haha
