Julia (a wonderfully insightful person – check out her 2/7 post!) at Knitting History led me to The Dye Pot who has posted this quiz.
I have an Auntie who is a wonderful knitter. She has knit countless Christmas stockings. However, when a Christmas stocking is not commissioned she knits cotton dishcloths and always uses the same pattern. I have been campaigning (unsuccessfully) to broaden her knitting repertoire. I have sent her a wonderful link to many dishcloth patterns, links to patterns for children’s knits (she has five grandbabies and one on the way), but she won’t budge! This Auntie will get a special, wicked delight in my results of the following quiz – I can hear her giggling!

You are Dishcloth Cotton.
You are a very hard worker, most at home when
you’re at home. You are thrifty and seemingly
born to clean. You are considered to be a Plain
Jane, but you are too practical to notice.
What kind of yarn are you?

Try as you may to publicly coerce me on your blog to change my PERFECT dishcloth pattern, I remain steadfast! Need I remind you, it was your Grammy’s favorite pattern. I carry on the tradition and hold my head high!
if you check page two of the dishcloth pattern link, you will see a pattern called Grandmother’s Favorite! she wasn’t the only one :)
I’ve just received some yarn to make some dishcloths, and hello! Thank you so much for this link. Great patterns there…now all I have to do is see which one I’ll be using.
