I will give you the bad news first.
I did not win Wendy’s limerick contest.
Claire did not win Wendy’s limerick contest.
LuAnn did not win Wendy’s limerick contest.
If you go to her site, she has posted the winning entry. Oh well.
The Good News:
The sock fits Julie and I am now free to cast on sock #2. I believe I failed to mention that the first self striping sock was a bit tough to pull on. I had both of my girls try it and it was snug at the point where you need to pull it over the heel. They each did get it on, but I knew that neither of them would wear these socks. So I started mentally going through the gams of my friends and relations and came up with Julie. She of the long, ever so slim legs. (I try not to hold all of her natural charms against her). She also happens to be a sock connoisseur and will truly love and appreciate them. So today I will cast on for the second one.
More good news – I painted the bedroom hallway on Saturday. Slowly, but surely I am inching toward my goal of having all these painting projects done before the spring really hits and the outdoor chores beckon.
Even more good news – had a great time at Ricki’s party on Saturday night. She had a gala event to celebrate her husband’s 50th birthday. He is one lucky birthday boy! This party was so much fun and so nicely done. Ricki needs to have her own blog just to tell about it! Suffice to say that Ricki is the hostess with the mostess!
After having too many Cosmos at Ricki’s party, I woke up early on Sunday morning to take the girls to a team penning event. This is a competition involving cows – the idea being that three riders try to maneuver selected cows into a pen in a timely fashion. We have a horse and they have both ridden for years. They also compete in shows. They have always ridden english style, so the team penning was a whole different ball game for them. It was loads of fun to watch and everyone had a great time. I took my knitting with me, hoping to start that second sock, but it was so cold outside that my fingers were freezing!
Sunday night was Sopranos and bed. Anyone else watching this show?? I really thought Adrianna was going to spill the beans – and what was with that Opus Dei reference?
Re the bad news: Cry baby pee your pants!

Re: Sopranos
Who doesn’t watch. As HBO says, it is the Monday morning water cooler conversation. AND my opinon,
Ade is going to kill herself. The handwriting is on the wall. AND how kudos was her ratting on that “best friend, maid of honor”. Friends like that, who needs enemies.
Loving the BLOG……….
