How does one blog about sock knitting — especially when the first one is complete and pictures have been posted? This is dejavu knitting. I have been working on the second self striping sock. I have knit about two inches – actually knit more than that, but had to do some frogging! (for you non-knitters that is a funny way of saying I had to rip-it!! rip-it/ribbit get it??) So progress is being made and it looks just like the other one. This is exciting for me, but perhaps a bit boring for you!
Today is knitting guild day. The hostess-with-the-mostess is Ricki. I gifted her a panini press and am looking forward to some good eats as well as knitting!! I popped the camera into my knitting bag and will hopefully have some pictures to share later today.
I have no idea how to make second sock syndrome gripping. If you figure it out, let me know.
How about:
It was a dark and stormy night. A shadowy figure moved across the room. The woman (previously described as being earthy, yet dewy, nubile and ripe, yet mature enough to have much wisdom) did not hear his approach. He showered kisses on her long and supple neck …. her bosom heaved (as bosoms are wont to do). “What about the second self-striping sock?”, she gasped!
FINALLY !!!! Ya see FROG in so many blogs and yet I remained clueless. THANK YOU ANN!
You wax poetic about the second sock, just as you did about the first one, and we will all be enthused for you…partly because we’re being nice, and partly because some of us at least have swiss cheese for memory these days, and we won’t remember the first sock anyway.
