You guys are great! I had a load of comments today – and I lurve getting comments!! Keep em comin babies!
The Strawberry Shawl has met with rave reviews! One of my readers actually called me to tell me how much she likes it!! (not to worry, she’s isn’t a stalker – crazy, but not a stalker!) Isn’t that always the way — the easiest and simplest things get the greatest accolades?
When I was a sweet young thing and newly married I had no cooking experience. I relied on recipes for everything. I seemed to always chose complicated things to make. I remember specifically going nuts making crab stuffed chicket breasts — using a hammer since I had no meat mallet, and taking hours to put it together and making a mess of the kitchen. I worked very hard trying to impress My Boar – hell, I don’t even like seafood – so it was all for him.
He liked it. He said it was good.
A few weeks later, I made chicken casserole for dinner. This was a recipe from my grandmother; involving sauting celery and onions and then dumping everything into a casserole dish along with condensed soup. Trés elegant!
Boar loved it. He couldn’t believe it. He proclaimed it a taste sensation. He did cartwheels. (okay, there were no actual gymnastics, but he might as well have done cartwheels – he was ecstatic!)
