What a great time we had at the Guild meeting!! We were there as Kathleen’s guests, but by the time the meeting was over we had all joined! I was surprised by how many people were there — must have been at least 40 women. And I got to meet a fellow blogger!! Kathleen is just as nice in person as she seems on her blog — and her mother ain’t too bad herself! She gave a workshop on felted bags — perhaps if you go to her site and beg, she will post some pics of the bags she brought with her to today’s meeting — they are gorgeous! She also had a pair of felted slipper/clogs from a FiberTrends pattern. Now that I have seen them in person I do believe I will get that pattern. Since I have a front loading washing machine, I need to master the art of hand felting. suggestions?

I took the workshop on the Magic Loop. And it really is magic! This is all about knitting on a 40’circular what would normally be knit on a set of dpns. I had tried to learn this on my own at an online site. But Alice was a much better teacher. Yea!! Now I have to resist the urge to start another thing before that Vest is finished.

  1. Ann, I am so glad you came to the meeting. And joined the guild. You are coming to the luncheon, right?? I wish I could have learned the Magic Loop. Will you teach me? :)

Thank you for the nice compliments…I felt in my front loader. Is it relatively new? Mine has a cancel or stop button. GreenEyedGirl is talking about a clog along.

OH! Did you go to Granny’s? Didn’t Terry tell you it is a “right of passage” or something? Granny is a blast. Love her!
