I see in yesterday’s hurried entry I led one to believe that I have been buzzing around doing chores, hostessing galas and being a very busy beaver.

That is mostly true.

I did however manage to sit my arse on the beach yesterday afternoon. It was glorious! I revisited my youth with some ocean swimming – complete with boogie board! (are you getting a good visual on that one??)

Has anyone done beach knitting? What do we think about the sand factor? I do a lot of my projects in and around barns. My thinking is, can that be any worse than sand?

My entry yesterday wasn’t completely off the mark. I am indeed having a BBQ tomorrow and am expecting somewhere in the vicinity of 50 people.

there will be no knitting today – or tomorrow for that matter.

Happy 4th To You All!!!

  1. I’d like to mention the challenging and competitive beach sport of Pit Propulsion. The equipment is not cumbersome ( bag of cherries, comfortable beach chair), which makes it easy walking when looking for your perfect spot. You don’t need that body-beautiful beach-volleyball athleticism to participate, since you never have to leave your chair. Just take a deep breath, pucker up and blow! The pit that travels the farthest is the winner. If you’re looking to do some beach socializing and perhaps make a new friend or two, this activity is not for you.
