My thoughts have turned to my next project – Banff is just about finished and I am casting about for something to cast on.
Earlier this week I posted a pic of some yarn and I had some good advice on what to do with it. (thanks KatyKnits, Webheads & SmallHands!) True to form, I think I will ignore aforementioned advice and strike out on my own. This will give you all a chance to say ‘I told you so!’ (not that you ever would, just knowing that you could is enough!)
I am considering a poncho – a poncho for me.
Perhaps it is my inner Marcia Brady, I have always loved ponchos and capes regardless of how they actually look on me. So if you see me coming your way, all decked out in my giant, fuzzy poncho – just avert your eyes.
Marvel at my ability to feel good about my poncho, wonder what makes me tick, what kind of mirrors I have hanging in my house ….. raise an eyebrow if you must. But most importantly, think of Marcia as she walked the halls of Westdale High, hair a-swinging, sublimely confident … that’ll be me.
Hair “aswining”?? Promise me that was an intentional typo.
I say, you go, poncho girl! All the mirrors in my house hang just at my eyebrow level, more than enough for me to see of me!
I stand by my poncho rant.

hey hipster- ponchos are back and way cool! go for it annie annie annie!
Hey you know what is a big coincidence? Today I started making a poncho that is going to require 3 balls of Patons Divine. Craaazy. I am loving it – it’s fuzzy and all, but not at all offensively so. So I don’t know if you’re still undecided, but I vote: do it! :)
I can’t wait to see the poncho! In fact, I saw some of your yarn at Michaels and I liked it much better in the real life than I did the photo. Will you be mixing it with a less textural yarn? Is that a word? But do you know what I mean?
You rang?
