Before I post this entry, I must clarify two very important things ….
1. I really do have a wonderful husband. He is a hardworking, considerate and kind person.
2. I also have two wonderful daughters. They always do their best in school, are generally tidy creatures and rarely give me any real trouble.
So, shall I continue?
I spent the entire day yesterday at a horse-related event with the girls. And I do mean the entire day … we arrived at 10 am and got home at 7 pm. It was all very nice, gorgeous weather etc. but I have had my fill of the great outdoors.
Today another horse related event was taking place. Again, gorgeous weather and gorgeous surroundings. My darling Boar offered to be the parent in charge which freed up my morning for the glamor that is cleaning the house and Costco shopping. After the horse related event, Boar was taking them off for eye doctor appointments. All three of them have eyesight issues. He is in charge of their vision – this works out because he also wears contacts and it forces him to keep his own appointments as well.
They arrive home from the horse stuff and have a bit of time before the eye dr’s. He has spent approximately 4 hours with them – he has had it and so have they. What could have happened – what calamity?
Nothing out of the ordinary — just the usual stuff of teenaged sisters.
And what of them? What has Boar done to aggravate them?
Nothing that I don’t do — the usual reminding them of things that need to get done and general nagging.
What kind of horrible person am I that this gives me a little thrill?
Why does it do my heart good to see the three people I love best in the world being fed up with each other?
For the most part The Boar and the Girls have a mutual admiration society — to them he is the king and he thinks they are angels.
Of course, they hardly know each other – it’s all infatuation.
Isn’t teenagerhood fun???
Welcome to the Spinning Wheel!
Could the honeymoon be over? Nah…they will forget soon enough. Hope today is better with all back at school and work. Watching some DVD’s today in your fuzzy feet? :)
That story warms my heart!!!!! I have three teenage daughters that my husband adores but can put him over the TOP in 2 seconds flat. Can’t live with ’em but I certainly couldn’t live without them! God love them!
