is the customer always right?

Did you guys see that?

Anil Dash left a comment on my site!

Who the hell is Anil Dash?

He is one of the Typepad’s vice presidents!  Typepad is the service I use to publish this site.  He is sorry to hear that I am not thrilled with the photo album set up.

Talk about customer service!

That’s like Dave making your burger.  Or Gates calling to see if the laptop arrived. Or Oprah asking if you liked November’s issue …..

maybe I’m getting a little carried away – he is a vice president after all.

But still …. I’m impressed.  I wrote back to him detailing my specific complaint about the photo album process.

wonder if he’ll fix it?

wonder if we will become pen email pals?

do you think he knits?

  1. I am impressed too…I am cooking up complaints in my head to get more comments from Typepad execs! How did they know? Aren’t there a lot of users? Is he a regular reader of Purling Swine? Or did Edgrrr bring him in? BTW, Hayden looks great! How’s the poncho?

  2. Very impressive indeed! I bet you’ll become the best of friends, and he’ll start his own knitting blog, and you’ll laugh over coffee and a ball of cashmere about how you met…

Sorry to hear Poe caused trouble… if he asks for whom the wheel spins, tell him “not for thee”!

  3. Wow. That is pretty good. I have used Typepad’s support ticket thing a couple of times and have been satisfied with the service. I didn’t always get the answer I wanted or it seemed like the solution involved jumping through hoops, but I got a considerate answer along with an explanation.
