Ann antes up

The title of this post may be misleading.  As I have already explained, I don’t really understand poker.

I am vacuuming away in the girls’ rooms, marveling at their collective ability to live in filth and squalor.  If it were not for the opulence of their possessions and furniture, one might feel they were in Calcutta.

Yes, I left Mr. Poe unattended.

No, it would appear I have not learned my lesson.

I emerge from the bedroom area to discover this in the den.

what could be wrong with this picture?  Isn’t he the most adorable thing? Have you ever seen anything so cute — and he’s napping, isn’t that precious??

I have provided a clue in this game of Spot the Mayhem caused by the Baby Pet Holiday Edition:

Edgrrrrinch

What are they?

Hand knit Angora Christmas Bells.

Who made them?

My Grandmother (who, by the way is deceased)

Fortunately for Mr. Edgrrr, he only managed to mank up the ribbon.  Otherwise he might be joining her.

note: I realize that Vicki is still in the lead, having actually had an heirloom destroyed — but Edgrrr has certainly put up a good fight.

  1. OH! HE’S FREAKING ADORABLE! I’m in love with Poe. Congratulations on the new addition…and I will keep your knitted heirlooms on my prayer list. ;)

  2. forgot to mention, I’m trying to convince my husband that oscar needs a little puggy brother. Your pics might just convince him that I’m right (although i’ll selectively not show him all the chewing one). Cheers!

  3. thank you Linda & Jen ….. Poe’s good looks are his personal life saver!! Linda, if you want to see an adorable pug, go to Jen’s site and check out Mr. Oscar.

  4. When I first saw the picture I said to myself….self he is at the packages again because I saw the ribbon. After reading further I understood the seriousness of his offense….but look at that face! He wanted your grandmother to share his “lovey”. What’s alittle spit between…well family. Maybe that is not the right phrase but you know what I mean. Thank goodness the bells are in tack and just “loved alittle” by Edgrrr. By the way, it also seems to happen when you start a project up, life takes you from it. I glance at my project every time I run out the door. Someday….

  5. I hope you didn’t disturb him from his slumber…he looked very exhausted from all of that fun. I love him. I hope you are having a good day today *ahem* cleaning. Tell Riki and Peggy I said Hi. I am curbing Grandma’s Christmas shopping enthusiasm!

  6. Does this mean I have to supply pictures of the kitten-caused mayhem? I might not be able to win, since we keep cleaning up the mess before we take pictures. On the other hand, I might be able to compete by posting a short film of Mew the Kitten as she pokes her cute little head into the spokes of my spinning wheel as it’s being treadled, nearly decapitating herself. Stay tuned….
