What a wonderful Christmas! My mind is jumping in a million directions and I am having trouble coming up with a coherent paragraph …. maybe a list is the way to go.
Things that made this holiday extra nice:
- Christmas fell on a Saturday
- this meant that my Boar had the next day off!
- my brother and SiL arrived safely
- my cesspool did not overflow
- we had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner party – friends and family filled the house.
- all the food I cooked came out great, especially the Bailey’s Irish Cream Cheesecake
- everyone liked their presents.
- I even had a few surprises!
- one of which was bobbins and a replacement knob for Proud Mary
- this meant that my Boar put a lot of thought and even did some sleuthing to find the perfect present.
- that thought process was the best gift of all!
- brother and SiL arrived home safely.
- the daughters have already gone through their closets — new clothes are on hangars and old clothes have been delivered to the Goodwill.
- we had some snow last night – a fire in the fireplace, good leftovers and knitting….it was perfect.
- the snowblower worked this morning when I went out there
- soup is on the stove
- girlfriends arrive tonight for a fiber filled evening!
Sounds like a perfect Christmas. I am especially pleased about the cesspool! Give my little Edgarrrr a hug but don’t forget Lucy. :) And the rest of the menagerie. Great gifts for you too.
BAILEY’S IRISH CREAM CHEESECAKE?!
Please, for the love of dessert, share the recipe!
Oh, I totally agree the thought process is really what counts! My DH got me tickets to my favorite show, and a gorgeous rolling cart for fiber toys and books and stuff – it was the best Christmas yet! Merry one to you!
Hey Ann,
Sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas. I haven’t been on for what…a week? Feels like forever. In case I’m not on for another week, have a fun, safe New Year!
:)
