I am the Janet Jackson of the Fry Up

Fry_up_002

as I was watching the Eagles lose, I worked on my Fry Up.  I had some moments of panic, thinking that I did not have enough of my main yellow to finish both sides of the bag.  But there was just enough.  (There is a trend here, lately everything I knit causes this feeling – I am turning into the Chicken Little of knitting).

Now I have other problems.  Running out of yarn would be the least of them.

My Fry Up is making me uncomfortable.  There a certain something about it that causes me to scrunch my forehead, to knit my eyebrows …. to frown.  What is it?  What could it be?

do you see it? look closely – what does it remind you of?

don’t you think if looks bit a …. boobalicious?

so, now what?  do I continue knitting this risqué piece?  I have narrowed the problem down to the yolk. do I find a different color for the bag and then use that yellow for the yolk, or do I just change the yolk?

a friend’s husband said I should have knit the bag portion in blue – just like a Blue Plate Special.  This is a great idea, but I don’t know if I feel like putting myself through a whole ripping session just for this bag, then again it is a small project and ripping wouldn’t be all that involved.

Or do I just soldier on and ‘let it all hang out’ – tell everyone it was a ‘garment malfunction’?

  1. Hi – saw your comment about dry hands over at Bronx Girl Knits (http://bronxgirlknits.blogspot.com/) and wanted to tell you about this phenomenal lotion I use on my hands. It’s Dionis Hand & Body Lotion with Goats Milk. This is the best stuff in the world. I can even knit right after putting it on – doesn’t leave my hands greasy or with a film on them. I probably put this stuff on 5-6 times a day and that’s just at work! I get it from a little gift shop here in my building. If you can’t find any, let me know & I can pick it up for you and send it your way.

  2. hmmm…. I’d go for the Blue Plate Special. The yellow you used for the plate really looks like it should have been for the yolk, and the current yolk color looks more like bacon or non-Caucasian nipple area color.

I certainly would not be eating at your greasy spoon, given the current menu…

  3. I’m sorry, but yes, it does look a little “R” rated! Hmmm – the yolk definitely needs to be more yellow – not sure what advice to give. I say use your own judgment and let the chips (or nips) fall where they may!

  4. It wasn’t so bad from a distance, but once you click on the picture and see the..erm..welll…nipple in the center…I’d have to say it does look a bit breastish. I tried to be open-minded, I really did.
