When I got home from work yesterday, there was a package bonanza on my porch! not one, but two boxes waiting for me. The first package was from Rachel (who doesn’t have a blog yet and we wonder what is taking so long?!) Rachel lives in Arizona and sent along a Javelina and yarn. If you click on that link you will read that the javelina is native to that area but is not officially consider part of the pig family. Well, I reject this. If it looks like a pig, it’s a pig! And this is one good looking pig; fierce yet adorable. The yarn is also apporpriately named sand and sun. Thank you so much Rachel!
My other gift is from Vicki. She sent it in honor of our quit smoking anniversary. Click on that second link and read the author inscription. How fabulous is she?! I haven’t started reading it yet, but the pictures are wonderful – love the smile on that girl’s face! Thank you so much Vicki!
so how do you like that? the perfect blog post – some pigs, some yarn and I didn’t have to do anything more than pick up packages on the front porch. it’s the sweet life I tell ya!
Who loves you, huh? Mwah, glad you love it. Oinkity-oink!
That Sara, she hit the nail on the head, no? She knits, too, ya know… a fan of Mason-Dixon. I am going to recommend another of her books for my book club (can’t wait ’til it’s my turn).
Javelina looks like a pig to me…
What great packages, and the inscription on the book is great. I think the Javelina looks like a pig too.
What nice packages.
Lucky you!! Vicki did a great job of gifties!!
I *love* that non-pig pig!
Lucky you to get unexpected presents- the best kind! It was a wonderful spring day here ..
Not a pig? not a pig? NO WAY :) She looks quite handsome in her new home whatever she is, I think the weather in the east is doing her good.
wow, beautiful yarn colors!
Have you read the story Pigs is Pigs by Ellis Parker Butler? It is about… no, I think I will wait to find out if you have read it yet. If you haven’t, try googling the title.
