There has been lots going on around here, weekend trips and various projects.   One thing that is finally happening is some repair work to the pool. I cannot believe it is not covered yet – wonder if we will be ice skating on it?

Anyway, can you see who else can’t believe the pool is still open? My bird watching friend Peggy tells me that that is a red-tailed hawk. It was thrilling to see him perched there until I realized that he is a bird of prey and I have some four legged prey around here. Poe is probably on the large size for the hawk, but not so large that he wouldn’t give it a try! So I have been keeping an eye on the sky for hawks that have a taste for pugs!

I have updated my Raverly projects page with knitting. And I have also created a slide show for you to see some pics from our recent trip to Parents’ Weekend. We spent last weekend upstate visiting D#2 who is a freshman. She is loving college life!

  1. FUNNY – JUST TONIGHT A RED TAILED HAWK WAS IN MY YARD EATING SOMETHING – NOT THE PUGS!. i TOOK PICTURES BUT NOT REALLY CLOSE ENOUGH AND NO ZOOM. I PLANNED TO POST THEM TOMORROW ON MY BLOG.

    CAMPUS AND DAUGHTER LOOK BEAUTIFUL!

lOTS OF SNOW UP HERE IN NE PA ..BETTER GET THAT POOL COVERED !!!

  2. I was at the local dog park this weekend with my two, and saw a hawk soaring overhead. I didn’t think much about it until later, when I realized that in the next-door dog park, for smaller or more timid dogs, there were a couple of maybe 5 lb dogs running around, and I thought, I wonder if a hawk would dive for a Yorkie….

Luckily, people are with their dogs and I’m sure make the idea of swooping for a meal a lot less appealing!

  3. Oh where? Oh where? Has my cousin Ann gone? Oh where? Oh where can she be? Now that both girls are in school you would think that you would be blogging more! What have you been up to lately?
