I don’t know what to make of these results. My SIL loves her mittens, she thinks they fit, she is happy with them. I don’t think they fit — there are not enough rows between the ribbing and the beginning of the thumb gusset and as a result, the ribbing sits a bit on the ‘meat’ of the hand. I will keep this in mind for next time and add another 6 rows. I am glad however that she is happy and is going to be wearing them.

My cousin J sent me this link. It is some kind of Ken doll-esque computer program. (kind of reminds me of a scene from that movie Coma)Highly entertaining. He seems to be fully outfitted in hand knits – watch cap, stiped pullover and legwarmers!

We had a great day in the city! The show was at Madison Square Garden, which is very convenient to the LIRR trains. We were there for the first of the two days. We saw so many different groups of dogs, but didn’t get there in time to see the Pugs go :( That was the only disappointment. The dogs are amazing — in all the hubbub, pressure & crowds they maintain their cool. (my babies go beserk when they see someone walk down our street!)

One of the most surprising things about the show was how accessible the dogs were. The floor of the Garden was divided into seven rings, where individual groups were competing. We were able to walk all around the rings and be right there with all the action. It was crowded, so I enjoyed the view from our seats. Every dog there is magnificent and I have no idea how the judges do their job.

I will be in NYC today having fun at the Westminster Dog Show.

Although nothing can compare to the glamour and sophistication of my own four poochies, I am looking forward to the doggie pageantry!
