Fine, but don’t say I didn’t warn you …. I have been working on the socks. I am still on the first one and have gotten just past the point where I turn the heel. I realize that this isn’t exactly stellar progress, I am more of a Little-Engine-That-Could type of knitter! I have accepted this. pause Now run along …..

Was I the only one taking notice of Sting’s performance at the Academy Awards? He was nominated for his song You Will Be My Ain True Love and performed with Allison Krauss. So there he is, onstage singing that beautiful song and playing the hurdy gurdy. I have never seen a hurdy gurdy before and really didn’t know what he was doing, what with the way he was rotating his hand around and around and around.(thanks to ljc for cluing me in)

Now, my mother raised a nice girl, but I gotta tell ya — ever since Sting’s tantric s*x bragging, that man can’t make a move without me going ‘hmmmm…’
