bring me her head on a stick, heart on a tray … whatever…..

No pictures to share today — I can’t seem to find the cable thingy that is needed to transfer the photos from the camera to the computer. Furthermore, I think that D#2 is behind its ‘missing’ status. If my suspicions are true she is going to have to die. Which may be a bit harsh I admit. In any case, she will have to pay dearly. She is the Oscar to my Felix. But in our case, Felix is the bigger one who could put a real hurtin on Oscar. It bothers me enough that she is disorganized with her own stuff and seems to live like a hamster in that room of hers, but now she is going to play fast and loose with my stuff?? she is f-ing with The Blog??!!

Of course, I may have to retract this whole diatribe if my suspicions are wrong.

stay tuned…….

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I hope you are all having a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day! Please take a moment and go see Vicki ,she has a lot going on today. First and foremost it is her brother Michael’s birthday! Be sure to wish him a Happy Birthday and keep him in your thoughts, he is having surgery today. If you read her site, you will see all the horrific details of his car accident, anxious bedside hours and more recently hopeful news.

Be sure to also congratulate Vicki – today is her (and mine!) one year Quit Smoking Day! Hip Hip Hooray!! We bloggers often speak of the amazing friendships here in the blogsphere and I have certainly been blessed in that department. Vicki was one of my first ‘friend’ bloggers and it really became cemented when we decided to quit smoking together. I honestly don’t think I would have done it without her – so yay for her and yay for me!

A full year of no cigs translates to:

  • 7288 cigarettes not smoked
  • $1,949.55 saved
  • 3 weeks 4 days and 7 hours of life saved

So, what do you think about the place? If you haven’t noticed, I rearranged the furniture around here. And in a very scary twist, Cara and I are on the same wavelength – she’s redesigned things too. She is supposed to be knitting – Olympic knitting. Instead she is gadding about to Ikea, assembling furniture until her hands are swollen and redesigning her blog. gah!

But enough about Cara, back to Me! I have tried and tried to make that banner image the width of my page. Typepad tells me to enlarge it to 770 pixels which I did. But still it won’t stretch – which is probably a good thing since the picture would be totally out of proportion. I just love the expression on that little pig’s face!

In fiber news, I have been spinning and spinning. During my marathon session of drum carding, I discovered a pound of Jacob fleece. It was very rustic and coarse and was like spinning pubic hair. Not that I’ve tried it. I swear. Well, Peggy E. added some gorgeous green silk and mohair and now it is a thing of beauty. And I have been spinning away!
