work on the poncho continues. I am closing in on the finish line – gotta love those chunky knits! I have come across a pattern error. I sent an email to Hilltop to confirm and once I hear from them, I will put it on Ravlery.
to satisfy your lust for pictures, here is one of our Lu. She may look sweet & meek here, but believe me – she rules the roost! lucky for us, she’s a benevolent Queen. ; )
I thought I would share a series of Poe photos taken just this morning. There has not yet been enough caffeine in my morning to make the analogy between Poe/tennis balls and Ann/yarn. It’s there though.
So, as you may or may not know Mr. Poe is addicted to tennis balls. My mother-in-law feeds his habit by bringing over the ‘duds’ from her tennis league.
This is how it goes …… Poe has tennis balls. Lots of tennis balls. He develops brief yet intense passions for particular tennis balls. Only he can differentiate between them. He will attach himself to one tennis ball and carry it with him through the day and even weeks. No one knows what happens – perhaps they get too stinky for even him to abide. Or maybe they lose their bounce. Or maybe they aren’t fuzzy enough anymore Once he is through with them, that’s it. It’s over and he turns his back. Poe is a cruel, cruel lover.
It’s time for a new one!
*I have not forgotten your daily pig ….. I need to get outside with the camera!
This week has been busy! First off, I re-joined this. I went with Flair and Lisa for what is becoming our annual rejoin. We have all made solemn vows and on this, the second day of the program, I for one can say so far, so good. If nothing else, it is always loads of fun to see these two and the meetings give us a definite date night each week.
Another thing adding to the feeling of stress for the week is major sleep deprivation. I had to have a big talk with someone
about what a pug can reasonably expect from his humans at 4 in the morning. This lecture was preceded by me chasing him around the yard in the pitch black in my grandma nightie and flip flops with a flash light and the whip (yes, the whip) doing that whisper screaming thing …..
“P o e g e t i n t h e h o u s e P O E ! ”
I did take time to relax and have fun at this. Oh Spinning Guild, how I love thee. This month’s meeting was a spin in – no program, just sitting, spinning and gabbing. I met a few new members, one was Christine – very cool chick who may have fallen in love with my Lendrum and Woolie Winder!
Today’s excitement …….It is D#1’s 20th birthday!! We shall be celebrating with some shopping and dinner at a restaurant of her choosing. I simply refuse to believe she is that old. So let’s all agree to wish her a happy 15th, shall we?
Here is a Lotus Blossom progress picture. This pattern is well written and is going quickly. I have just finished chart #2. I was inspired by Juno’s modifications to this pattern and am going to add some repeats as well.
The yarn is Knitting Notions classic merino lace weight semi-solid and the color is pumpkin spice. I love this yarn. As a matter of fact, I am using the classic merino sport weight for Babette.
Lucy is not sure about enlarging the pattern,
but thinks the color suits!
Here are a few pigs
that sit on a window sill.
