second verse same as the first!

I knit up another Cabled Newsboy Cap from Stitch n Bitch Nation.  I made one for D#1 a few weeks ago and since it only takes a skein and a half of the Blue Sky Hand Dyed Worsted, I bought another skein and knit up one for D#2.  Waste not want not, I am a model of knitterly efficiency!

Here’s a little secret about the Daughters …. in person I think they look alike in the way the sisters often do.  But in photographs I can hardly tell them apart!

A Vest!

It seems that towards the end of every project I become convinced that it will never end. That indeed, I will be knitting it forever. This vest was no different.

But finished it is and Boar loves it! I need a bit of time and distance before I love it — I will love it but for now I am just thrilled that it is finished. I may run a bit of elastic thread through the bottom since the ribbing isn’t snugging up at all. The jury is still out on that one.

In a stunning turn of events, I have not one but two finished things. The other however is top secret! I have given Cara a couple of clues ….. it is cotton, it is green and I had to count rows and I had to rip it out a bunch of times.  ;)

spoiled!

When I said I was spoiled in yesterday’s post I meant it. But sort of in that way where you mean it, but still think it’s okay. Well, this may have put it over the edge into another category. I was at Kathleen’s yesterday for a bit-o-knitting and a few surprises awaited. Check out more birthday prezzies ……

Some Claudia Handpainted! This is the copper pennies colorway. Do you think Sue knows my favorite colors? I haven’t knit with this before and am looking forward to getting some socks on the needles!

and if you can stand it, more fabulous yarn – Dream in Color Smooshy in the In Vino Veritas colorway. This was from Kathleen, who ordered it from Kris!

I do believe I have become the fiber world’s version of Veruca Salt!

But now, my dears, we think you might
Be wondering—is it really right
That every single bit of blame
And all the scolding and the shame
Should fall upon Veruca Salt?
Is she the only one at fault?
For though she’s spoiled, and dreadfully so,
A girl can’t spoil herself, you know.
