Road Trip!!

festival The long wait is over and we are on our way!!! We are hitting the road at 9:30 am, will be stopping for lunch and are hoping to arrive around 2:00 pm. We will be carrying those purlingswine totebags, so look for us!

The Vest is a blockin’ and The House is a rockin’ !!!

When all had given up hope that The Vest would ever be finished, the day has arrived! I won’t post a pic until the Boar can model it for us. This was a project that sat in my knitting bag for two years. There it sat, completely finished except for the seaming of the buttonbands! And there I sat, completely ignoring it.

I have made such a friggin big deal about this vest that you may be expecting to see some knitting miracle, something so spectacular it could only be a mirage. Don’t get your hopes up — it is simply a stockinette stitch vest.

The thought consuming my brain today is that I am leaving tomorrow!! hip-hip-hooray! Join in, won’t you while I chant the B-52’s song:

I got me a car
It’s as big as a whale and
We’re About to Set Sail!
We’re heading down the Jersey Turnpike
Looking for the Sheep Festival!

And what a weekend I am leaving behind. Among the many things to get done:

Saturday
drive daughter #1 to SAT’s
drive daughter #2 for eye exam
drive 1 & 2 to barn
pick up 1 & 2 from barn
drive #1 to movies to meet up with friends
pick up from movies
feed yourselves & dogs
Sunday
back to barn
pick up from barn
make sure #2 helps out in packing up trunk containing horse related horse show items for away show next week
feed yourselves & dogs
straighten house before Mom gets home

they can do it!!! they are all fully-functioning human beings — I refuse to believe otherwise.
