P1010038.JPG They say that confession is good for the soul — I know that I vowed not to work on another Bucket-o-Chic instead to devote my knitterly attentions to other projects that are languishing. However, I gave away all of my buckets on our trip to PA and find myself bareheaded! little fly upon the wall, him don’t have no coat at all…..him cold brrr… Sooooo

I have been working on yet another Bucket-o-Chic.I have been working on yet another Bucket-o-Chic.I have been working on yet another Bucket-o-Chic!I have been working on yet another Bucket-o-Chic!!

There, I have said it, it is out there … and I do feel better! I will not bore you with yet more pictures of the latest bucket. Instead, I will razzle dazzle you with the work of my good knitting friend Peggy! This is the back of her latest intarsia work – done in a Noro yarn. Isn’t it gorgeous?! clever girl our Peggy.

It was our knitting day, although our group was one short due to kiddies being home with strep throat :(
I served, what is sure to become a knitting day staple, Jezebel Sauce courtesy of Yentala’s. Check out her site she’s another clever girl!

Fran’s Famous Jezebel Sauce

Crackers of your choice
1 .85 container of McCormicks dry mustard
18 oz jar of apple jelly
18 oz jar pineapple preserves
1 tablespoon coarse ground pepper
5 oz cream style horseradish.

Combine last 4 ingredients in a blender and blend until incorporated. Plate the cream cheese and pour Jezebel over the cream cheese. I’ll be over in a JIFF.
PIG OUT with or without crackers.

143 South Nice Street

My grandmother taught me how to knit when I was about 10 years old. I remember when I first started knitting, she would do all the casting on and binding off for me. Whenever I dropped a stitch or had any other type of roadblock, all knitting would cease until she was able to look at and fix it. After I moved away from home, she was only a phone call away to address any questions (and not just knitting questions).

I am always impressed to hear of other people who taught themselves to knit through reading how-to manuals. I am much more of a hands on learner – maybe I just need more hand holding through the process. In any event, this is a great site for anyone who is like me. It is brought to you courtesy of Knitting Beyond the Hebrides. Check it out – there are so many wonderful links on this site. It can be our Internet Grammy!

bucket.JPGIntroducing the second Bucket-o-Chic. I am calling this one the Candy Cane. This pic is CC pre-felting. I intend to give this one as a gift. I come from a long line of plus-size craniums, so I will have to be inventive in the felting/sizing department.

Our new den furniture was delivered today and it is wonderful! Pug is displaced now that her beloved sofa has been moved to the basement and has spent a great many hours looking at me dolefully. poor pug! ;(
