It looks like Typepad is being termpermental this morning. This suits my purposes actually since I don’t have anything to blog about, so now I’ll have the perfect excuse to keep things short & sweet!

I am working some extra hours at the knitting shop, Knitting on the Lamb. With this being a holiday week, my carpool/driving situation has changed and I have some extra time. And since I don’t have to cook …. I am really liking this job – the people are great and I am surrounded by yarn. We are also sending out class schedules, so perhaps I will be teaching too! If you are in the neighborhood, stop by and see me.

Knitting continues on the pullover. The back is almost finished and things are looking good.

………. and now because it never gets old, how about a little pug candy? do you think they’ll watch the Thanksgiving Parade too?

you throw like a girl

The sun is finally out! It has been raining here for the past week and last night the wind really went into high gear and the skies opened up. I kept checking to see if the house had sprung any leaks, but it remained water tight.

Before I turn my attention to the leaves & pine needles in the yard, I thought I’d take a quick moment to show you the Stacy Pullover. I did indeed rip out those 48 rows, which took it back to the ribbing stitch. I changed to smaller needles, and am now getting gauge and am almost to the underarm decreases (again!). The yarn is Brooks Farm Four Play that I got at Rhinebeck last year – it feels good to finally use it!

did you notice that red thing in the top picture? that is a ball chucker – a tennis ball fits into the cup on the end and when you fling it, the ball really takes off. The dog thinks you’re Babe Ruth or Hank Aaron. Mr. Poe thought the photo op was the perfect opportunity for a quick game.

did you also notice the pile of pine needles in the pop up picture? that is why I have to run ….. hope you all have a great weekend!

Company is coming! Peggie E., she of the fabulous spinning and Bakelite needles is on her way. She wants my help in setting up a blog – stay tuned for linkage!

I have a pot of this on the stove and the Hitch Hiker all set for her to test drive. Now, how about a picture of puggy kisses?

necking at the movies

Wendy and I were having a small discussion about Netflix movies. We are both fans.

It is going to be rainy, windy and cold here. I don’t have to be anywhere until this afternoon and the house is clean, laundry done. Doesn’t that sound like the perfect recipe for movies & knitting? this is how it usually ends up ……
