I’ve got nothing. If it weren’t for the pig-a-day thing I wouldn’t have even bothered. Things are very mundane – I am halfway through the second sleeve of the pullover. Even though I am alternating skeins every other row, another area of visible lightness is occuring. I have made the executive decision to not give a shit since I truly will put no more effort into this than changing skeins. Once I get to the part where I attach the sleeve tubes to the body tube, I will take some pictures.

I was about to say that I hope you are having more excitement than me – but there is nothing wrong with the mundane. Being busy with routine is not necessarily a bad thing and sometimes excitement is not good. So I am glad to be boring I guess.

You know the old saw about the marital seven year itch? I am working on a theory about the Three Year Blog Blahs …… anyone care to share their views?

does that count as four?

these little guys are lined up along the thermostat in our bedroom. I think they are actually tiny erasers.

It is crazy cold here. The outdoor thermometer read 11° this morning and the wind is wild. Our yard is full of branches that came down during the ice storm and today will add even more to the heaps. Once the weather warms up our chipper shredder will be getting a workout. I think I would like spring more if it didn’t mean so much yard work!

I’m making meatloaf for dinner tonight – I have a butcher’s blend of beef, pork and veal. Anyone have an all time favorite recipe?

Your daily pork report continues to come via my bedroom …..

I am working on the second sleeve of the sweater. It feels like I have turned a corner and am getting closer to the finish line. Speaking of the finish line – there really should be none of that. This whole thing has been worked in the round and I am going to join the sleeves to the body and work a raglan shaped top. I shall only have a 14 stitch underarm seam to sew. that will be bliss!

In other knitting news, I am loving my KnitPicks interchangeable set. However my two shortest cables have problems. The one would not screw into the needles properly and the other just snapped apart. Kathleen reports that customer service is wonderful, so it shouldn’t be a problem getting them replaced.

a pug’s morning

it is pouring buckets here today. Mr. Boar is on his way home to help bale the garage – we shall try to keep the rising tide from hitting the back door and coming in the house. In lieu of pictures of my soggy morning, how about a peek into the rarefied life of a pug?

Your day will begin at 6:15. This is your choice. You will perform many spectacular stretches in order to procrastinate going outside to attend to your business. After your outdoor business meeting you will zoom back into the house and madly run around the coffee table with fellow pug Lucy in hot pursuit. You will both be running and yelping with ferocious intent but all the while being nothing more than clowns. After the mad dashes you will be delighted to hear it’s time for breakfast. You and your fellow canines will barrel down two flights of steps and skid across the wooden floors perhaps even wipe out when taking the corners. You will wait patiently by your bowl for your food. Those other two idiots act like animals.

You’ve had your kibble. You have been up for one hour. What do you do next?

See if Mom has made the bed yet and settle in for a nap until dinner!
